IP. Dr. Mohd. Nordin Bin Adlan

C & S Engineering Advisor

Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd. Nordin Bin Adlan is C & S Engineering Advisor for Artan’s Construction Sdn. Bhd. He is an honorary professor at USM and Director of Perunding Baram Sdn. Bhd. He was a program leader of Long-Term Research Grant on Water Security with a total allocation of RM4.56 million. He has published more than 100 papers in international and national journals, conferences and seminars.

He is a recipient of Top Research Scientist Malaysia award in 2017 by Academy Science Malaysia. Prof. Nordin has actively involved with community engagement works on water supply projects for bottom billion communities by introducing his research outputs on roughing filter and tube wells. For B40 projects, he was actively involved with community mobilization, participation, empowerment, and ownership. His community program has been recognized under the National Blue Ocean Strategy of the Ministry of Higher Education. He had worked with JKR for more than 11 years prior to joining Universiti Sains Malaysia in 1991.

Professor Ir Dr. Mohd Nordin Bin Adlan received his bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The Polytechnic of Central London, MSc from Loughborough University and PhD from University of Newcastle, United Kingdom. He is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers Malaysia and a registered professional engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia.
